The management of LIMCAF is pleased to announce an increase in the price ceiling for artworks submitted to its national competition for artists under the age of 35. Effective immediately, the maximum price for any artwork entered into the competition will now be N700,000 (seven hundred thousand Naira only).
This price ceiling aims to encourage artists to focus on creativity and the use of affordable materials, rather than relying on expensive resources. LIMCAF encourages artists to moderate their pricing, making their works more accessible to the public and promoting wider art patronage.
It is important to note that prizes will continue to be awarded based on the advertised criteria, with no consideration given to the price value of the artworks.
