Chijioke Onuora was first trained by Paulinus Emejue, Ifedioranma Dike, Pius Nwankwo, Emman Okunna and Osita Njelita at the Anambra State College of Education, Awka, where he graduated with a distinction in Fine and Applied Arts. Under El Anatsui, Uko Akpaide and S.P.K.Awa he obtained his B.A. and MFA degrees respectively, in Sculpture at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also, obtained a Ph.D. in Art History from the same university, under the supervision of Ola Oloidi. Currently a lecturer at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, University of Nigeria, where he teaches Drawing, Sculpture and Art History. His works in sculpture, drawing, painting, batik and print making, have been shown in Nigeria, South Africa, Europe and the United States of America. His works are influenced by the traditional sculpture, painting and folklore of the Igbo people. Onuora is the Chairman of LIMCAF 2021 Jury.
Nnenna Okore is a Professor of Art at North Park University, Chicago. She has a BA in Painting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and both an MA and MFA from the University of Iowa. Her works has exhibited in renowned galleries around the world. Okore showed at October Gallery in 2008. She is a 2012 Fulbright Award recipient and has exhibited internationally. Her works have been featured in several important exhibitions such as Second Lives: Remixing the Ordinary, Museum of Arts and Design, New York, USA; We Face Forward, Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester, UK; Africa Africans, Museu Afro Brasil, Sao Paulo, Brazil; and When the Heavens Meet the Earth, The Heong Gallery, Cambridge, UK. DUNIYA, Giles Gambo, is a holder of B.A Fine Art, M.A. Art History and PhD degree in art history, all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He researches on diverse aspects of contemporary Art practices and has published his perspectives in numerous journals, books and catalogues. He is a curator of contemporary art and is currently a professor of Art History and Criticism, at his alma mater.
Kpodoh Michael
Kpodoh is a versatile artist who works in diverse media. Born in Lagos, he hails from Bayelsa, studied art at the famous Auchi Art School, Federal Polytechnic Auchi where he majored in painting and graduated as the overall best student with distinction in 2001 and 2004 respectively.
Kpodoh is a prolific, outstanding and experimental artist. He is currently a full-time studio artist, dedicated to full-time practice. He has many awards to his credit. He is a member of many professional art bodies and a former Public Relations Officer of SNA Rivers State chapter. Kpodoh has participated in many exhibitions, workshops, and biennales within and outside Nigeria, one of his most recent exhibition is "360 degrees of healing @ Artfully spaced gallery. California, USA."
Kpodoh is the proud owner of "GALLERY 7. KPODOHISM", a gallery in Port Harcourt.
Sor Sen, earned an MFA in Painting from Nigeria’s premier art school, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has held solo shows and participated in a handful of group exhibitions. His works are widely collected. Sen’s artistic prowess has earned him prizes from Nigeria’s National Gallery of Art, Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF), Embassy of Arab republic of Egypt, Embassy of Spain, Abuja and African Arts Resource Centre, Lagos among others. He lives and practices art full time in Abuja. Sen was part of the jury of LIMCAF Abuja region exhibition in 2018 and 2019.
